Hello, I’m Laura!
I’m a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, and though I have lived in Georgia, New Hampshire and Nepal, the mountains of Virginia are home to me. I enjoy riding bikes, taking pictures, being with the people I love, talking about and visiting cities, mountains, and exploring the intersect of ecology, education and culture.
For now, my latest adventure is as a community development Peace Corps Volunteer in Albania. For the next two years I will call the city of Lezhë in the northern part of the country home. This blog is a place to communicate my thoughts and feelings with the folks back in the US of A and abroad.
About the blog/inspiration:
Bluer highways is named both for a book and a font. If you want to read more about it, see this post.
